I used to trade intc when it used to get whipsawed by Tom Kurlak. Remember him ? But now I'll just hold it. I can't see any scenario where chips and leaders in chips will not have a good market (except during world wide recessions). The reason for more optimism this time, is AMD and Cyrix are failing in their competition with Intel in the PC market.
