Craig, I agree. The thread has been pretty silent since the merger announcement, and now I expect it will disappear altogether. Kind of bittersweet. I got in at 5.75 and plan on taking some profits out to redistribute my portfolio, but will be keeping a chunk in ATHM.

Good luck and good trades to all XCIT/ATHM holders!

Ted

Craig:

Saw TJ and Bell on PowerLunch today. Bell as President will be responsible for integration of the two companies. Not sure how that will pan out although I believe the two companies have a lot in common. Never know with this integration business. It is interesting to see the two guys sitting together answering questions as #1 and #2 of the new company. I did not get the impression that Bell wanted/was #2 at all. Notwithstanding the rumors flying around this past week about TJ leaving, I don't think this executive arrangement will last beyond Q1 next year. The fact that XCITE@HOME is being positioned as a Media Company with Broad Band Distribution makes it more likely for Bell to lead the company into the future. They are both good but Bell is probably more market savvy and this skillset is highly desirable with the Street, present and prospective strategic partners (pure speculations on my part)<g> It will be interesting to see how everything unfolds in the near-term. TJ hinted recently that Q2 report will be good so we can expect a re visit to the old high soon, market willing.

Welcome to excite@home!

I really hope everyone here hangs on to their ATHM shares and starts posting on the ATHM thread. Been a bit dry there lately too.
Subject 15953

We really need to learn more about Excite and its future from you all. Like to hear more about our new president too.

You'll find the ATHM thread an interesting mix of everyday people who are hooked on the speed and see the future and highly technical communications engineers. You'll get to meet Ahhaha too.
The future of ATHM as a stock hinges in my view in its ability to generate income beyond just subscriber fees. I'm hoping your experience with Excite will shed more light on the possibilites.
