Not so much the 3% bond forecast, which is to me like $1000/oz gold, but Yardeni is a vocal bond bull and his site provides a good deal of information. He speaks of deflation, earning slowdown, y2k disruptions and that build his case.

However, the best analysis i've read on the subject of deflation is by A. Gary Shilling in his 1998 book "Deflation". He documents the various forces at work. Bonds are also one of his recommendation.

At almost 6% with this uncertainty, they look good to me.

It would not surprise me if we resumed where the things have been left in September 1998.

Do you like bonds ? ( or should I say, Got Bonds ? ;-)
