Indeed. When I started typing that note, S&P was at 1296 and DOW was only up 43 and Dung 28 (about 18 minutes before close.) All have retreated from a lot from day's highs. It looked like selling took upperhand at that time. I asked myself, if I were a bull what will make me feel confident in staying long over the weekend. Then I came up with the above list - it is just psychological, nothing really technical. So, I am assuming that this close will "keep" the confidence game alive over the long weekend. Come monday, we may be back to square one, uncertainity. But for now it appears that they were able to keep bull hopes alive and bears sweating, as usual. Would be interestin if we see a sell off on Tuesday.

BTW, for the record, DOW up 92, DUNG up 50 and S&P up 20 (@1302) for the day. All closed near day's highs, except DOW.
