Yes, the Santa Claus and Labour Day rallies are the strongest, right, followed by Easter and then the rest .... i've never read that, i should ... my short buddy's theory is that the most significant gains are from late in the penultimate day before the holiday to early in the second session following, say an hour or two after the open ... then the influence wears off .... except for Christmas of course, where tax loss is a factor ... you wouldn't believe this guy, he made a killing in '87 on puts and claims to have never played anything else since ... i told him about Winspear under a buck, Suncor around twenty, i'm on his case about Jordex now ... of course, i also told him about Bresea at 1.40 -g-
