Mr. Guilford Brett reports
The company has received a geological report authored by Gary L. Wesa, BSc, which recommends an exploration program on the company's properties in the Pogo area play of Alaska.
Mr. Wesa's report states:
"The ANAC/TRIB claims were staked on the basis of geological features similar to those of the Pogo gold discovery, 190 kilometres to the northwest. These geological similarities indicate that the Pogo deposit and ANAC/TRIB property are underlain by Precambrian to Paleozoic schists and gneisses and that both are near, or adjacent to, Cretaceous plutons. A $145,000 first phase program consisting of geochemical surveying and mapping is recommended.
The management of Pacific Bay is encouraged by the continued interest of major companies in the Tanana terrain in the Pogo area of Alaska and the Yukon. Barrick's recent commitment to carry out major work in the area through its participation with Western Keltic Mines Inc. is another attestation to this trend.
