SL you stated>>>>>>>Perhaps having biotechs run around pumping investigational drug/biologics into children without asking their parents is your idea of a more efficient FDA, but I doubt the voting public would agree. I must respond to you, you know. <furrowed brow><<
I had no idea it was Biotechs that actually administered the investigational meds.LOL Sad to see you won't admit that just getting a quick synopsis is gutting the whole complete informed consent process. It gives me great comfort now to know from your post that the general public is so good at making life and death decisions when it involves their own family members at G 8 or more!<g> I had no idea people in general were that calm and cool with their kids at G 8 or more.(now for my furrowed brow) BTW, when things go bad and people sue, the first thing a Plantiff will tell you is that they really didn't understand the informed consent anyway. Or maybe they will claim all they got was a synopsis. And they might have a point in certain circumstances like their kid being at G 8 or more. Ask ANY ER doc that has been sued that did indeed have an informed consent signed. SL, there has to be a better way, there just has to be. I don't want to go backwards, but there has to be a better way.
