Hi wily, The cheap mice notwithstanding, I've seen many last 3+ years. Cleaning it semi-regularily, with tape, a Q-tip+alcohol, or tweezers to remove the threads of dust should keep it in good working order (as long as you don't bang it in frustration or drop it <g>). I like the Logitech scroll mouse or the Scrollpoint mouse by IBM (Logitech). If you have bigger hands though, the Logitechs can seem a little small, so I often use the Microsoft Intellimouse. They're all so cheap now, it doesn't pay to get a poor quality one anymore. Cheers, Rich
