So are you auditioning for a spot on CNBC? To think that posters on SI are as influential as the journalists and guest analysts appearing on CNBC which is watched by millions is simply ludicrous. You do have some irrational exuberance at times both long and short here on SI and RB but you take everything with a grain of salt unless you're a newbie. It takes time to get a grasp of the market place and you learn by your mistakes. I know that I was plain dumb when I first started investing 4 years ago (lost a $13k severance package from my old company) but have learned quite a bit and still have a lot to learn! Over the last 8 months I've done extremely well (up about 160%)but in hind sight could have done a lot better by recognizing when to take profits and sell a stock that has doubled or tripled in a short period of time. I also need to be able to keep a larger % of my portfolio in money market funds which would enable me to scoop up bargains during corrections like we just experienced! Good luck.

Steve

Hank,

I hope you do better on your CMGI short than you did on your DELL shorts. I'm surprised you've got anything left with which to buy puts, considering you went short on DELL at least a year too early.

Regards,
Ross
