I like the idea of a boycott of network news sponsors. The only problem is that I don't watch network news, so I wouldn't know who to boycott. A list would probably be a good thing.

You know, as I write this and think about it, I like this idea more and more. It would be something of an uphill battle, since the spinnews isn't something that just sprang into being and can as easily be discarded. We would be protesting against the world as most of the powers-that-be want it to be, but with a lot of well-written and well-spoken explanation and criticism, we could potentially make a difference. We could potentially convince the networks that it is ultimately in their best interest to tell the truth. Maybe.

Anyway, I'm ready to give it a try starting now.

I may even be willing to make the sacrifice and spend a week or two watching network news just so that I can find out who it is that we would need to boycott. And somebody would have to write out a manifesto to send to the advertisers, proclaiming our boycott and explaining why we're doing it. And of course, we'd have to get as many people as possible to join in both the boycott and the letter-writing campaign.

I like this idea.

"Boycott lies and the people who tell them."

That's got a great ring to it.
