I don't know about everyone else here but I certainly haven't heard of any game coming out which will absolutely need the nextgen cards (Voodoo4? NV-10?). From the rumors we have been bombarded with, the nextgen cards will be a massive jump in framerate, fillrate, and # of triangles on the order of Voodoo2 over Voodoo1.

What game that is currently in development is going to use this amount of power? Unless their is a game currently in top secret development to drive sales of the nextgen cards at Christmas, I can't see the huge demand that Quake generated for the Voodoo2. Sure we will be able to play Quake3A at 60 fps at resolution 2052x2052 (??), but I personally can't see any real improvement above 1600x1200.

Who is writing geometry acceleration, hardware lighting and transform acceleration support into their games.
