Terms weren't disclosed.

Newbridge Networks, Herndon, Va., provides networking systems. Catapult provides software-based test systems for the telecommunications industry.

The CRTC action comes as a surprise. It seems to me it's good for vendors but maybe not so good for small carriers like Maxlink and WIC Connexus.

Having said that, I guess my first question would be, based on the difficulty of bringing LMDS to market, is there any reason to think the soon-to-be released spectrums will be commercialized any more easily? Based on an October auction, how long will it take the winners to award contracts, and even more to the point, how long will it take vendors to provide reliable products?

Lots of questions. . .
