Make no mistake about it broker's set margins for their benefit not for traders. When times are good they suck us in with higher margins so they can get more commissions, but the minute things even look like they are changing -expecially interest rates!- they will do just what they are doing protecting their stakes. Commissions, margins, interest rates, it all spells CASH to the brokers that's what their in business for maximizing CASH! for themselves. When Greenspan talks they listen just like the bond traders and the fund managers, while we wait to see how serious he is they all have their hands in our pockets! TTOSBT
