An interesting article in many Canadian newspapers today taking up a full half page by Alex Anderson for Southam Newpapers - Ottawa. After reading it, I was glad I purchased a few shares in the European company x-stream last month instead of Canadian, because it showed Europe is exploding, along with the United States in the Internet game.!!! A couple of pieces I found interesting from the article were: "Businesses appear to be adding credence to a recent report that suggests Canadians are lagging behind the US and Europe in the adoption of electronic commerce strategies. The Andersen Consulting report, released last week, said that while American and European companies have rushed to implement e-com Web sites and grab up cyberspatial real estate, Canadian companies are taking a "wait and see" approach." Another quote "he noticed that new technologies like CD players took off in the USA and Europe 3 years before they were accepted in Canada". He said finally, "But e-commerce is the way of the future and we should be getting on the bandwagon".
