Scanshift,

I don't want to get into a match with you here, you seem to have a bit of an axe to grind with MBT/Terranova. The fact is, as is well known in the trading community, ARCA is an extraordinary trading resource. Saying it's not so won't change that fact!.

And, to clear up your interpretation of my brokerage-hopping, I didn't say I'd been to ten brokerages in two years. I said I'd day-traded in NYC at Broadway, traded at Schwab 500 and ETrade, and used several of the direct-access systems. This has been over a 5-year period of intensely short-term trading stocks. I always spread my business across multiple brokerages, currently I'm trading at three brokerages, with my day-trading activity focused at MBT. My point was, I've used enough of these systems to have a good perspective on the ECNs and to know the good from the bad. There aren't many daytraders kicking who've had as much experience as I have, and survived it ;) (I wasn't born a great trader; had to learn it the hard way). I'm both well-capitalized, and very persistent. Learning trading is like taking on a new career; it's a 5-year process just to get on solid ground, to get consistent. Anyway, from my experienced perspective with day-trading and swing-trading, I can state as a fact, without exception that ARCA is not just good, it is GREAT. Sure, their servers have problems occasionally. But I've spoken with dozens and dozens of hard-core stock traders like myself who use it every day and the fact is, those glitches hardly bothers us; it's new technology on the cutting edge and we know how to deal with it. It has room for improvement, sure. In the meantime, LET THE PROFITS ROLL IN!

If you want more information about my credibility and whether I'm independent from MBT, visit my "after the close" business website at www.svnl.com. In addition to my activities in the high-technology industry, I'm a very well known trader quite active in the day-trading community, with hundreds of contacts around the country that I've studied trading or traded with in various venues. My trading rate of return has averaged over 300% for the past four consecutive years (much better the past two years).

The fact is, as any experienced stock trader can tell you, especially with direct-access you can't just walk into the first daytrading firm you find and stay there forever. There are many problems with most of them. It's a long search to find a GREAT one like MBT. You can spam them all you want, but that's not going to change the fact that they're running an extremely successful business, with many satisfied customers like myself finding their technology and support to be top-drawer.

BTW, the CYBER post into this thread is just typical - SMOKE! IMHO. With all due respect, here they are claiming they've added ARCA access, when in fact all they've done is add access to (usually stale, or at least Bids you wouldn't want) ARCA bids/offers across Selectnet! That doesn't give Cyber Traders access to ARCA's quick, automated order-working capabilities, which is the essence of it. Cyber is sure quick to issue a press release like that which could mislead their potential customers, and short on capabilities and expertise which really deliver, in my experience. Although their good-nature is refreshing, they really should keep that stuff over in their own thread, but it is going to be micro-examined and the truth will be exposed over here! (when they REALLY get ARCA, then post it here!)
