My view exactly. Volume was actually good for a pre-holiday Friday (652k NYSE and 684k NAZ as I recall). Last Wed-Fri certainly look like a precursor to the customary pre-earnings runup. But it is hard for me to imagine the inets testing their highs before the 6/29 FOMC meeting. However, if rates remain unchanged, as I expect, that could propel the inets and the market in early July. We shall see. Rob

I would say a lot of it was short covering. I hope I am wrong
but I think we might go down again next week.

Mark I concur with others that the late day pop was shorts closing their positions due to a 3-day weekend--this was in very low volume environment,so the covering caused a significant pop.That's my opinion.Max90
