The wife and my mini-adult have been making sure I don't get to relax and enjoy the things I like the most over this holiday weekend, so I'm jumping at the chance to have ANY homework to do Ev. I'll scour and report back anything of interest.

WEIR - looks very interesting Ev. Spread is killer at .47x.65 it could be worth it. 1stQ (May99) EPS $.11 up from .03 with 18.5 million shares out - what's more depreciation and amortization were nearly a million dollars so non-cash charge of 5 cents a share. Book value is around what $2.75 or so, L-T debt around 68 cents - plenty of cash. Opening several new stores this year including an entrance to MS, new marketing campaign, etc. Well hell, you know it all anyway. There's a lot in the release:

biz.yahoo.com

All-in-all it looks really compelling. I also read I think in their annual report that 1st Q would be normally slower as 43% of their sales are July/August for back-to-school and Nov/Dec for XMas.

If they continue on their current track you've got a PE of btw 1 and 2. (ggg) This looks like something for Bill Velmer of S.A. Advisory to pick up. You should email him.

I might pick some up. Looks like a real nice turnaround shaping up.
