Thanks Mike..I thought those were very funny too. One of those web lists that comes round every couple of years...always adding a few with each generation. Similar to the whales that gather off of Tierra Del Fuego once every year to sing their songs....and each year the beginning of the songs are identical to the past year's - but each year they also add something more.,,,new stories to sing.
The most heartening and intriguing report from the annual meeting I have heard - if it is true and I would guess it is - was related in this Yahoo post by Man Zero.
<<When I spoke with Ed near the coffee room after the meeting I asked him if in addition to developing content via our new acquisitions and relationships (TVW, Reiter, AEN, etc) if there would also be an effort to seek out big players with content and partner with them. (I was realizing that without the really popular content owned by big players we would not likely have the draw to be considered a Juggernaut.) He smiled and said that they are coming to us, explaining that we have the delivery means and methods which they do not have. There is a plan for Ampex to be actively doing the streaming video business by this fall, which means that other companies do not have the time to develop the technology perfected by Ampex over the past decades. So time and technology are working for Ampex to draw the big players (content owners) to us.>>
