I've had the yen for a Harley for about five years now. Been buying the odd issue of Thunder Alley (a Harley hop-up mag without the usual misogyny) to see just how I'd "correct" the drivetrain. Alas, poor luck in the Nasdaq has kept me off a Hog.
There's the Sportsters and the Big Twins. I like the latter - much comfier.

<<Ouch! $11500 to $19900. Maybe they'll be cheaper after Rollin Thunder.>>

The Sportster with a like 850cc rather than the 1,200cc runs about 8 large. Now if you want to be like Forbes and get the full dressed Harley 20 large leaves you short. I saw a bike out of a custom shop that is 35 large.
