Eric,

Like you, I'm not sure of what questions to ask. So I lurk.

As for waiting on cable modems (not an option in my area), you might want to consider DirectPC satellite dish. Per the info on their site, they appear to be faster than either ISDN or cable modem.

Has any CyberTrader customers gone this route?

Thanks.

B.M.

Eric,

I have used both Realtick and CyBerTrader and can tell you that CyBerTrader has more and better features. There are many features, too many to discuss or describe here.

If you really want to know the whole story for yourself, I would suggest you merely open an account, deposit a modest amount of funds, install the software, play with it to your heart's desire, then make your own informed decision whether or not to continue and use the account or to close it. That way you know everything there is to know, completely, fully, accurately, and instantly. If it's really important to you, that is the only credible way to go.

You can read over this entire thread, try to digest everything that's ever been said, get opinions from everyone lurking on these threads. But none of that is as quick and accurate as just "doing it." With all due respect, I submit that the people here simply do not have the time, knowledge, or incentive to provide an exhaustive comparison of two systems with the view of helping you determine which better suits you and your situation. That's what you need to do and there's really only one practical way for you to do that.

Good luck,

Bill

I initially worked with Real Tick and because of dissatisfaction with the data feed and customer service of Townsend and Executioner I opened an account with Cybertrader to evaluate with the idea of deciding between the two. I think Cybertrader is the better software for someone who is a “heavy Day Trader” and uses level two to enter and exit trades. The system is very sophisticated and Cybertrader is constantly working to improve it. The customer service is very good. The biggest draw backs for me were there was so much information available it was distracting. The charts were well, just plain ugly and fairly useless. I am just getting started and rely more on candlestick charts for entry and exit until and while I learn level two. The data feed was as unreliable as real tick. When ever real tick went down, Cybertrader did also. I think they both get the feed from PCquote which may be the culprit or it could just be the ISPs. Again, without exception, when I loss the real tick feed the Cybertrader went down also.
