Sprint took part in a hedge with their AOL shares quite a while ago. They will get a certain amount of money for their shares (it is a lot less than the current $119). Their shares are "dead money" and it is in their interest to get rid of them. It doesn't matter to Sprint at what price they sell these share. Does anyone remember the price Sprint entered the hedge? I think they will get something around $16/share whether they sell at $119, $150, or $90
