Vendit,
Doug H. and Dr. Zax actually hit the the right explanation. After looking around, it does look like most of the sale is Sprint clearing its hedged position. What initially caught my attention was the Barry Diller and Paul Allen sales. Both obviously bought into AOL for investment and are now selling. After mulling it over, it seems to me their sales say little about AOL and probably more about their desire to use the money elsewhere. Allen is currently putting together an online community of his own and that may make owning a big chunk of AOL a problem.
Best,
--Steve
