Everyone says the image only takes a few min. Mine took 2 hours. almost 2 gigs.

I have only been using DI since last week. Great program!

I agree. Drive Image is a fantastic program. Without a doubt, one of the best backup programs you could pick up. Set-up your system, get your software running nicely, let Drive Image make a copy of it, and save it to a separate partition, drive, zip disk or CDR. Highly recommended.

PKZIP, and Winzip are nice little compression tools, but for backup, are not recommended. If you need to span a 4Mg file to floppy disks, it's good, or even for simple data compression...other than that, it's uses are fairly limited.
