Basically, those who rooted for Rocky are standing up for the Serbians. Those who cheered when he was being beaten up and were disappointed when he survived are rooting for Nato.

Excellent insight! I find it amusing to watch the hidden bullies cheer for the cowardly armies that shoot their missiles from the safety of the skies and the sea. We still hear words like "we must support our brave men in uniform". Where are those brave men? They pull their eight hour shifts and return to their quarters to play war games on their computers. Radiation from their monitors is their greatest threat.
The Kosovars and the Serbs are the only ones showing any bravery and taking casualties. The Kosovars, guerillas and civilians, are facing real enemies. So are the Serb soldiers and civilians. Thousands have been killed. Brave NATO and the US have not, to my knowledge, lost a man. They do their killing from the safety of their technological witchcraft. The NATO-US action is more like a government sanctioned terrorist campaign than a war.
