But overdependence on it at a young age is not healthy.

I'm not sure we, as parents, can prevent that from happening. We ourselves are dependant on it, at work, at home, for correspondence. I dont cook anymore without referencing recipes.com...

I'm afraid its just not a fad, like some folks were hoping. How do we help our children understand and master the wonders of the net, without getting caught up in it's darker side... Will the knowledge our children gain propel them forward in the world, leaving behind the people who have not had the *priviledge* to grow from it? I think so.

Slogan for all new parenting books...

The internet should never be used as a babysitter.

Well, IMHO as always
Carole

SI Bob: (Couldn't find a recent message to you to respond to)

I have been getting an increasing number of errors when I try to post responses. They come up with a big URL error message and basically say the problem is a zero size reply.

Eventually I get them posted, but sometimes only after copying the message to clipboard, going back to original message, starting the response all over again, and pasting the message into the new response.

Do you know why this is happening?
