Thanks for that little anecdote Peter. What did you carve in yours--5fer?

I'm mainly a lurker on this thread, but I just want to say that I LOVE when the Street spanks Dell. I keep a decent-sized cache of cash laying around expressly for the purpose of buying Dell when it falls out of favor. It is the same story EVERY TIME. And every time it inevitably goes back up, I set aside some more (new money--I've never sold a single share of Dell) for the next buying opp, which I know will come like clockwork. I've been buying heavily (for me) all week, and will continue to pick up 100-share lots pretty much every downtick. Eventually, the stock price will reflect the world's best-managed business and resume its northward journey.

Let me just say that this thread rocks. Like Kemble, I too cheat off the smart guys like Chuzz, Jim, Gabriel, rudedog, meathead, and the many more who make this one of the more interesting and useful sites in cyberspace.

We will almost certainly see a new all-time high this year. And if not, definitely next year. Because most of us long-term owners have crushed 99% of all professionally managed mutual (and other) funds, we could hit a new high in 2001 and STILL have world-class returns.

Best to all,

Yamakita

Tom,
Hi!!!

RE: The trust in Management is what keeps me in Dell AND one other thing, you never mention: "they" have a lot more at stake than you and me and everyone combined on this thread....

Say....I believe Tom Meredith is from Avalon New Jersey...is that true? Used to spend some of our vacations during the summer next to Avalon for years...Originally from Philadelphia suburb and the Jersey shore was it!! Yes...trust is why I invest in DELL...the products are the same...the loyalty of their customers is one of the reasons why I yell about being "scared"....this CULTURE is unstoppable...You know I haven't heard one single analyst talk of this...just another reason not to respect toooo many of them...As a consumer we all know no one returns to a product that has failed them...DELL's word is what has created this culture...while investing... I can only imagine Michael surrounding himself with nothing but integrity...as long as I have that knowledge.... I will continue to BUY MORE DELL...

What did you carve your pumpkin with...CPQ???

Best, kemble
