I did indeed make a vague reference to the "addiction stuff being crap", because I think that the mild physiological symptoms commonly associated with nicotine withdrawal do not "rise to the level" of what is colloquially understood as addiction. It is not true that no one has compared nicotine addiction to heroin addiction, by the way, it is a commonplace of anti- smoking propaganda...Sorry to have not been adequately explicit to begin with.By the way, if you wanted to encourage quitting, why would you make it sound so hard? I should think that emphasizing addiction is exactly the wrong strategy...
