ETrade will be nr. 1 after the consolidation period. that's why they are spending those huge amounts in marketing and technology, people will be drawn to ETrade by sheer fascination, it will be like ordering a "Coke" at your local bar. Merrill Lynch? what's that, a dynosaurs' hideaway? besides, i'm intrigued about that "global trading network" ETrade management talked about... sounds fun. imagine being able to trade from your computer in all the major world markets at once as if they were one. forex trading is going to be so cool too, it's a round the clock activity, 24 hs a day, round the world, and ETrade will be offering that soon to their customers. it's going to be so addictive.
