A couple of doctors have suggested that it makes sense to take them separately from the antibiotics, on the intuitive theory that the antibiotics would kill the acidophilus flora, too. So I take them anytime, with meals and between-- just not within a couple of hours of the antibiotic. I also take lots of them. I mean, I take a couple at a time, and if I don't feel just fine, I take three or four at a time; i just escalate until I start feeling okay.

Never had a yeast infection. Neither has anyone whom I've told this about to gotten one after instituting the regimen.
