Hi David, I see that you are a software engineer so maybe you can answer a question or 2 for me.

1) How does the "humble cookie" help me when and if I go back to a web page?

2) Since Double Click and a few others are placing most of the cookies on my computer, can they not track all the cookies that THEY place on the computer?

Now I will tell you why "I" don't want them. I am from an older generation that still likes their privacy and figure it is no ones business where I go or what I do unless I am breaking the law or harming someone. And I have some paranoid suspicion that they are somehow harmful (I was abused as a child and I am very insecure on top of that) <g> I do not believe that anything is as innocent as it appears when it comes to MY privacy.

Now don't take this as an "in you face" post because it is not. I am honestly wondering why people figure it is NOT such a big deal.

Thanks
Monty

David; It's not so much the humble cookie in and of itself,
it's the way some servers abuse it.
I didn't start surfing the net yesterday , and I already know
the motives of most web sites are not to make my life better..
Taht's bullshit.

I do accept cookies , depends on how the site is and what I use
it for, 2/3rd or better of the web sites are just scum bags
trying to contheshit out of any one they can.

I know damm well a flood of humble cookies from a site is
uncalled for, I turn them off , kill the bookmark & sometimes I even block them out so I won't forget and go back , over 2 cookies
when you hit a page and they are not being humble, or don't
know crap about programing.

I'm looking for content not 20 %$#@ cookies & yes some of the
prigs send as much as 20 at a friggin time..pissonem, I don't
need them making my life better.
Jim
