I like the tone of this exchange between you and Jim Willie CB about Q's potential for growth. JW talks about a 100-200 bagger, while you limit it to a "measley" 25 times growth <g>. Just for comparison, Mike Buckley did a "fun projection" for Q based on time phasing it with csco's Gorilla run through the Tornado. I believe he came up with a 96 bagger over the next 9 years. I'd love to see you and Jim Willie and Mike come up with a more closely grouped consensus number.

Bottom line, if any of the 3 of you are remotely right, I could put together one helluva retirement program <vbg>.

What exactly does a 10 bager. Do you mean it will double 10 times? if so I find it hard that Q will be a trillion dollar company.

KellyK, any projections for future market cap must have a base to build the "bags"... as my last post suggests, I offer presplit 40/share... that level surely looks like a base in any twoyear chart

what assumptions do you lace into your spreadsheet?
how do you put a value on upcoming dominance for QCOM in telePC wars?
with leading position potentially on 10-50 megabit wireless modem a few years from now, what value?
we cannot fully assess the features being contemplated in longrange planning by Q
what of others' ideas such as wireless money transfers, or stock price alerts, or GPS in automobiles?

if Q continues its brilliant path into the next decade, I for one will be surprised not to be surprised

now let's see if we can get this lousy fearful credit market that sees nonexistent inflation under every rock... bonds have a case of diarrhea in our Qgarden
