Thanks John. In the spirit of "the whole truth is great but a little bit of truth is a dangerous thing", here are some comments from me:

This is another example of Blanchard hype. The projection of the PE expanding from 10 to 32 as the gold price increases from $300 to $500 is pure drivel. What "serious investor" who has made a very decent return after buying near the lows is going to hang around for the PE ratio to maybe expand to 32 ? Maybe the same kind of serious investor who is buying internet stocks today! Is Gold Newsletter which purports to care about their subscribers recommending they hang around until the party is long over ?

Another very suspicious thing is how the analysis has conveniently left out Harmony Gold from the comparison table to other mining companies.

<<The following report about Durban Deep relied heavily upon the use of excerpts from a brilliant analysis which appeared in the November 1998 edition of the world-acclaimed GOLD Newsletter. It is our opinion the report warrants the attention of every serious gold investor >>

Since when were they a world-acclaimed newsletter with brilliant analysis ? I suppose they call Rick Rule the world's best broker and then he in turn calls them a world-acclaimed newsletter. And I wonder what kind of non-arms length relationship Gold Newsletter has with the supposedly "One of South Africa's top gold mining analysts, Dennis Tucker".
