There is a place called Sea Ranch up the coast in northern California. It is sort of a hokey name but a wonderful place. There are different grades of homes...from cabin to large open homes. No fences ..just wild flowers dividing the homes. To the west is the ocean to the east is a forest. People buy them and rent them out until they can retire there. There is not much to do there but take walks and enjoy the blend of sea and forest. It is overwhelming to me (senses). Good place to go and think...bring the significant other.... I am interested in Maine. Never been.
