America........... On this Memorial Day weekend, let us be thankful of the men and women of our country who have given their lives to protect the freedom and democracy that I too often take for granted. Let us also remember that which is most universal is also most specific.Be it in our workplace or on an SI posting board, we have our freedom but also have laws that protect us from the times when anyone may want to be more free than the law permits by placing themselves above the law or even to personify the law itself. Would anyone feel comfortable constantly permitting even their spouse, best friend, or lover to always tell them what they MUST do because they KNOW that it is right??? Diversity under the letter of the law (and hopefully in its spirit), is one of the things that has help this country become one of the best places in the world to live. JMHO
