>>This is the only CEO in America that refuses to talk to the American media unless it's on his terms.

Why should Jeff Bezos be obligated to talk to a magazine obsessively stuck in old-line thinking?

I like Barron's for its interviews and general news. Its the editorials on financial market issues where Barron's misses the mark badly. They would be better off interviewing a hedge fund manager on why he is short AMZN than just letting some journalist embarass herself by using simple facts in regards to what is a dynamic model.

Amazon is not about books. By attacking the company based on comparisons to book companies and book growth, Abelson and Doherty don't address Amazon's core strategy.

Amazon's greatest single asset is Jeff Bezos. Either you believe his strategy and vision are right or wrong but Jeff doesn't need to spend time trying to convince Barrons journalists. Why bother?

If Amazon flames out as a company (as opposed to the tremendous volatility of the stock), it won't be for a lack of management execution. That is probably the only thing I am extremely sure of...

the only 2 that know if Bezos has hedged his own stock is [sic] Bezos and Morgan Stanley. Trust me on that.

Of course Bezos has hedged. He may shoot for the fences but he is no fool.
