Good point. And not coincidentally, almost none of the cyclical stocks is a "dividend achiever". I cannot think of a better resource than the "Handbook of Dividend Achievers" to implement a truly long-term, truly buy-and-hold strategy.

With stocks like LSI that don't have the cushion of a dividend, much less a constantly rising dividend, I believe in selling into huge run-ups like the one we have seen over the last few months.

Even if LSI is eventually destined (as some have projected) to reach the 80's or higher during this semiconductor-cycle, there is nothing that prevents it from dipping below 30 in the interim and beginning to rise again from those levels. I have no intention of buying back the shares that I sold at close to 40, but even if I wanted to buy them back, I would still have chanced selling some of my shares at those levels.
