CTXS-- as key Internet to wireless link

CTXS has developed an internet product to link your thin client PC to an application server capable of running elaborate & expensive software per this link.
citrix.com Now, the extrapolation to wireless thin client internet access to any software on an application server was my own. But, what is there to keep it from happening. It seems clear to me that it could be done if I hooked my laptop up to a 3G phone. Am I wrong here??

Could it not be done using the phone alone if the phone incorporated a minimal cpu except for the lack of a keyboard and big screen.

This is possibility thinking and there are a lot more knowledgabole people on this board than me.

john is right about citrix and wireless devices. didn't motorola license ica a few months back? also, there was an event in chicago in late april - pda expo or something like that. citrix and qualcomm presented there. also, wireless knowledge is gonna be in the windows ce camp. citrix ships a ica client for windows ce. microsoft owns 6% of citrix and has a seat on the citrix systems' board of directors.

<disclaimer>
the preceeding information relating to microsoft's interest in citrix systems comes from a broker research report written november 25, 1998. i have not checked to see if it is still accurate.

with citrix, your handheld wireless device can be an extension of your corporate or personal desktop. your wireless device can get by with a lot less computing horsepower than a device that needs to perform all it's own computations.

The missing link between Internet and Wireless? I don't think so.
It sounds like you have been mislead. Citrix provide Windows based servers. Check out this link
