an acquisition does not necessarily mean that Dell is not investing in Dell Of course not. But it does mean that Dell is choosing to invest less in DELL the stock. One thing I dont get is that since the stock buyback is actually a cash generating program why would they want to cut back? This has probably already been discussed but there are few markets that are large enough to make a big impact on Dell that are growing anywhere near as fast as the "dying" PC market. Compaq has failed pretty miserably. But if anyone can do it, Dell can. Eric
