kcmike,

re my cute name -- wasn't trynna be cute, just practicing simplicity. Since there was already a qwerty on SI, I had to choose easy number to remember, & 911 is unforgettable.

I don't claim to be option expert, wouldn't be surprised if you're much better than I. The reason I never bought back sold option calls was again, simply practicing simplicity--let Ms Market make all the decisions for me. If she wants her stocks back, welcome. And she has always rewarded my respect for her by letting me buy back at lower prices later, w/o exception.

Only regret with my simplistic option strategy is: too stubborn sticking with out-of-money calls. Should've occasionally try in-the-money, as much as 3-strikes, whenever stock goes vertical. This is very hard to do, however, because the greed factor urges one to "double up" instead & therefore for option writers to do out-of-money instead of in-the-money. I hope to overcome this deficiency by intense daytrading after 7 yrs of buy&hold. Guess I'll find out when SFE makes new high, say 140, & I write 130 call a month out instead of 150 call.
