Emile,

So the Jews declared their independence and were instantly attacked for their trouble.

What happened to the Palestinian partition??

Ooopss.. wasn't it absorbed into Jordan until the Israelis took it from them in 1967??

The fact of the matter is that the Palestinians have been useful toys for the Arabs, nothing more. They are pawns in a higher stakes game and are "unloved" by either side.

In fact, some historians believe that the Palestinians are descendants of the Philistines, thus taking this feud back thousands of years and to whole other level, depending on whether you believe in the Bible or not.

Btw, why are you so emotional about this issue? Are you Palestinian? What's your stake in that conflict?

Regards,

Ron

Re: UN 1948

I was alive and listening to the news in 1948. Were you? The Palestinians made night raids on the kibutzes to murder Jewish men, women and children. What were the Jews to do? Sit back and do nothing? You can quote all the diaries you want to but you are still just echoing other peoples' opinions.
