LOL! You probably wouldn't buy them if they were $20.00! Nice round dollar figures (especially those ending in zero) are such a powerful psychological pricing hurdle for many consumers that marketing types around the world have developed a pricing culture where everything is priced 1-50¢ below a round dollar figure. Maybe that's the reason behind the $49.50 versus $50.00? ;-)
