I was allocated shares before the cash showed up on my account.

When I received the notice of allocation...my account still showed zero. I cannot remember now when it finally showed up...

Not sure if that is helpful to you...I am sure they must have had my check in the system by then...it just wasn't showing up on my account.

BTW: I sent in two checks. One was returned to me in the mail. It was from my husbands checking account...made out to US Clearing for deposit in MY account...but they rejected it as a third party check!
My definition of a third party check is a different name in the PAY TO line other than US Clearing...but then it is endorsed over to US Clearing on the back by the PAID TO party.

Luckily the check they accepted was for the larger amount!!

I'm looking at the following recent IPO's which are coming out of the quite period shortly.

NETO buy @ 7.5 if it dips. Coming out of Quite Period on the 2nd. Already news indicating big backing by IBM. More should follow. IPO priced at $12 and held around 12 till the 20th when market took dump. Buy around $8 should have good chances of seeing 12 within 2 weeks. Worth the limited risk to me.

NXCD buy @ <26 with bad market day. Has been strong around $35 till market hit last week. Quite period ending 9th. Should see $35 by then. IPO priced at $20.

These are just my opinions based on what I percieve the current IPO scene to be. I hope it starts some good strategy discussion.
