I don't think I disagree with anything you said.

Yes, it gets rather complicated when one people (A) likes to eat dogs and another people love dogs more than they love people A. We just convicted an 84 year old man for killing a dog with a hammer because he was tired of feeding it. He was sentenced, I believe, to 5 years in our overcrowded prison system. Every dog in the state is allowed on bite before being considered vicious. (Private damage suits are possible however).
The Hmong are said to like to kidnap their brides by force. Some courts in the U.S. frown on this. Some Santeria worshippers like to sacrifice living animals -- as Jews did in Jesus's time, when they also liked to stone adultresses to death. Michigan is considering passing a law providing imprisonment for adultery as the U.S. Armed Forces does. Its still okay in the Armed Forces to drop bombs on school buses by mistake with a pure heart. Georgia and Indiana may imprison you for sodomy. Massachusetts may elect you to Congress. Oral sex "the abominable crime against nature" in Florida, is apparently okay in Washington, D.C.
