your post might be a little more credible if you provided a URL to NEC's denial.

Strange that you're the only person that knows about it.

And none of the news agencies.

Maybe, it's not so strange after all.

Stitch, they are not denying that they are increasing capacity from 12 MM chips per month to 30 Million chips per month in their DRAM business, they are denying that that will take a lot of capital. That is a double whamo for the semi equip sector, it seems that the industry, via shrinks and without building new fabs, can more than double capacity. They do not buy massive amounts of equipment, first whamo, and they create another glut in the DRAM sector, second whamo.
