My understanding is that AMD intends to support SDRAM and DRDRAM. I believe that DRDRAM will be slow to make headway on CPU motherboards however. The initial uses for it will be for graphics cards and other special purpose processors, where it offers some real benefits.

Unfortunately, the performance benefits of DRDRAM on the motherboard appear to be limited to a few special purpose applications, which may not justify the cost differential. It is going to be interesting to see how DRDRAM will migrate into the mainstream!
