Most salt for human consumption comes from evaporating sea water. In third world countries and California it is sold just like this. In California, of course they pay more for not processing it to remove the mud and other impurities. For the rest of us it is processed further by boiling and evaporation to clean it up. Someone, I think Edwarda, posted a salt link about a week ago, but I couldn't find it, so here's another.

Christine, every molecule in your body and in every plant, organically grown or not can be described as a chemical. Usually the more "organic that chemical is, the more scary it sounds. Does that labelling somehow change it's character?
