SCS Solars' hits on Solarnet increasing

Mon 31 May 99 News Release
Mr. Frank Wells reports
The monthly usage hits of the Solarnet Travel Network System continue to
increase day by day, outperforming even the seasonally slow period within
the global travel market.
The first three months of 1999 witnessed an impressive growth in the number
of separate hits from travel agents accessing the Solarnet Travel Network.
This trend continues to grow with April figures reaching 320,000 hits from
travel agents showing a 35 per cent increase on March. This equates to
travel agents logging on to search for travel products on the Solarnet
Travel Network approximately once every three seconds.
Solars' chairman, Frank Wells, stated: "The real significance in these
figures is that Solarnet continues to grow at this impressive rate even
though the travel industry seasonally adjusts with a slowdown in global
bookings. This shows that not only is Solarnet growing with the travel
industry, but that the loyalty factor is playing a significant part in this
sustained growth." Mr. Wells commented further: "It is very important to
re-emphasize the profile of the individual users accessing the system.
Every travel agent using Solarnet is simultaneously dealing with a customer
who is in the process of making a travel product buying decision while the
system is being accessed. This impressive user profile makes the network
very attractive for travel vendors and offers Solarnet the opportunity of
carrying associated travel products which will in future generate
additional revenue during this live access. In our opinion Solarnet is fast
becoming the accepted productivity tool within the travel industry and we
feel the loyalty base attests to this premise."
