To Caxton: For the man who coined the phrase "GSM is Toast" that would be most appropriate. If electric wires become a major transmission belt for data, then the toaster could be connected to other appliances using Sun Micro's Jini, no? What fun. Sky is the limit (as long a satellites are included) for interconnections and uses - with or without electric wires - with wireless having a major role IMO. Chaz
