I was looking on the web to see if I could find something for you, because I had downloaded a good article on how to exercise painful shoulders, but hand stuff seems to be less common, and more specialized. There are articles on the web that show how to build up muscles and exercise injured body parts, and I know you are a good web-surfer, so please try it, or if you want to tell me what's wrong with your hand I can look again.

I pack muscle pretty well, also. No, the doc is right about the hand. I muscle up very quickly in general. But the hand is wasted away over years. There's more than a 3/4 inch difference in the size of my hands. A claw, it is. All bone with some flesh stretched over it. I can work it enough that I can hold things, though, and she wasn't saying that I couldn't build on that to some degree. It just ain't ever going to be what it was. Since it's my left hand and I'm left handed, it's required a bit of creativity learning to work with it. She does believe in my exercising it and wearing my brace. The intent wasn't to discourage me, but to not mislead me. She was the first that bothered to say that there was anything I could do.
