I need help... (more ways than one), but really:

Can someone please explain to me, and probably a lot others on this board the following:

1. What is a "short squeeze"?

2. Can you tell by looking at "Big Charts" or "Clearstation" when a stock is in a "short squeeze", or do you just hear about it?

What is all I know is that a "short squeeze" is in the investors favor, and it has something to do with the supply of the available stock, causing a sharp increase. I am really off?

I would really like to know.
